Beyonce is pregnant in 2011. This time, it's confirmed. In doing so, the star's baby bump broke a Twitter record.
Before her definitive announcement, the award-winning singer was already building expectations. When she arrived at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, she hinted to a crowed of Paparazzi that she's got "a surprise."

In the pictures she posed for the eager crowd, she coyly cradled her stomach (photo above left). Still, it wasn't a sure thing.
Then, after her electrifying performance of "Love on Top" at the VMAs, she threw down her microphone, opened up her sparkling blazer, and rubbed her stomach (photo above left).
Beyonce showed off what was clearly a baby bump and a pair of elastic maternity pants. The star didn't have to say anything, but her pregnancy was officially announced to the world with much publicity and class.
Ever since Beyonce got together with rap star and now-husband Jay-Z in a fairytale romance and became the "it" couple in the hip-hop world, rumors of pregnancy has persisted.

The couple, known to be private about their personal lives, has repeatedly ignored and denied such claims.
Therefore, it came as a surprise that Beyonce and her obviously pleased husband (as seen in the video below) chose to share the pregnancy so publicly. Their fans reacted very positively to this move.
"Beyonce's pregnancy stole the whole show [the VMAs]!!! They r so private n decided to share such a special moment! They won!" tweeted one fan.
In fact, Twitter exploded with so much activity that Beyonce's pregnancy set a record.
"Last night at 10:35 pm, Beyonce's big MTV #VMA moment gave Twitter a record bump: 8,868 Tweets per second," announced Twitter.
The lightning-fast Tweet-rate bested Japan's Women's Soccer victory over the U.S. in 2011 and the death of terrorist Osama bin Laden.
